It’s open world meaning entire towns with the inside indoor environments would need to be loaded if the player is looking at them amongst other things such as npcs. KCD has the one loading screen in the beginning and you won’t encounter anymore unless you sleep, cutscene, wait. However realize that prey is an entirely different game and it’s development and game play loop would use cells, or, maybe better known as rooms to ease the hardware demands.
